The National Institute of Golf Management is a custom-designed program to support your desire to be an effective golf industry leader. With changing demographics and increased competition within the field, professional development is essential to ensure sustainability and growth. However, professional development must first and foremost offer return on investment for the time and dollars you and/or your employer devote to any learning experience. Whether you are an experienced practioner or new to one of the many demanding roles in the golf industry, expectations tend to be the same. The value added experience available to all participants unfolds throughout three focused Academies that support, educate and broaden your existing skill levels. Through daily classroom exchanges and experienced faculty, each Academy offers specialized instruction, group interaction and a host of best practices to implement and motivate action upon your return.

Academy Topics

The Institute is not simply “another conference”; it is a four day interactive classroom based opportunity to network with some of the best in the golf business. Consider it four days of highly-focused consulting which, when combined with your commitment and energy, will deliver solutions and meaningful results for staff, golfers and the bottom line.

If you are a first time participant, entry begins with the Academy of Golf Operations, with subsequent Academies to follow. After attending the Academy of Strategic Management Practices you will earn a Certificate. Many students choose to return for the Academy of Higher Learning , formerly known as the Executive Forum or Graduate Program. Each of the academies are 4-day endeavors devoted to lively, in-depth and interactive presentations, group discussions and case studies. The Oglebay Resort location is ideal, the facilities are great and the time of year makes it convenient to attend. Most importantly, the time devoted to conversations, networking and class time will be some of the best you spend in the golf industry.
